I would like to know what made each of you pick a mustang and the year of the car you did.

My self it was a 1969 Mach 1.
I dont know what made me want it, it was just something I knew I wanted ever since I can remember what a car was. I guess I was born wanting a 69 mach who knows.

I dont know I guess to me the Mustang was like nothing else. I mean think about it after its birth they classified a group of cars around it ( Pony cars ) chevy copied it with the camaro.

Its just a great look and a 69 mach is a sweet car.

My Uncle had a 65 or 66 with a stick. It allways ran primo. He used to take us to the beach in the summer.

When I was a teenager my neighbor had a 66 pony HP. That thing was real nice. It ran like a top.

Now, a guy at work needed cash so he sold me his 66 for 2g's. The body is straight, interior is clean. But the drive train was neglected. I am in the process of fixing intake manifold leak, carb rebuild, dist r/r, lifter r/r, front end work and rear end work

well it was my wife that wanted a mustang. She saved up 4k for one. We looked and looked and thats when she found her 73 for 4k and with factory Air thay worked great. Her mom was pissed becuase she wanted her to get a toyota. Me I would rather own a mopar like a 72 cuda... I am trying to get my friend at work to post his 69 mach 1 on here. He totally redone it from ground up.The under carriage is the best I have ever seen. And yes its bright yellow.

I would like to see his 69 mach. I hope to have mine done soon, and the under carriage will be the next thing I try to get redone its fair but not great. Once its done being painted I will post it on here.

If I am not mistaken my stang was biult in Kansas City Kansas not to far from me. I also think it was also a P-51 mustang plant during WWII. Kinda weird

My 69 fastback was my mom's, when she was pregnant with me, she ran away to mexico - in my mystang. It's been around the family, but stayed close to me, so once i got a job i bought it from my uncle. Its been sittin for a while, needs a lot of work. But i still have my dream car ( even if its waiting for a couple grand )

Well, I have always been a Mustang lover since I was a rugrat.My grandpa worked at Fords Livonia Transmission plant for over thirty years and he has owned his share of Mustangs.I wound up hanging out with the Chevy guys and became attached to the Camaros (Still Am) :-D But When GM killed the F-Bod in 02, It ?*&$###!! me off a little and I was going to school to be a Ford Tech so I bailed out of GM's and bought my 91 Convertible.I have always been found of the Fox Bodies as well as the Classics.As of Sunday I am a Classic owner for the first time.I just picked up a 1968 Coupe with the Sprint "B" Package.It needs alot of work yet but it will be a fun project.I also picked up a Fresh 289/C4 for it.The wife was a little upset and really did'nt understand but shes over it now and I am pretty sure that she won't mind cruising in it when it's done.

I picked me a 1969 coupe with a 289. I picked the mustang because im in high school and the muscle cars really apeal to me and this just happened to be the one i found and they have grown on me ever since. Plus it just happened to be the one i could afford and fix on my own.

Guys I would like to see pics of both of all of them I love mustangs. People see my stable of ponies and thing right off Im a Ford man. Don't get me wrong I like ford but I tell them no Im not a ford man Im a mustang man, ford just made it. I like alot of other cars and trucks but the mustang is by far the greatest in my eyes.

Like I said I would love to see a few pics of the cars.

We finally got the money to own a car free and clear. WE weret even thinkin of a sports car, that is until we took the new 06 for a test drive. Thats all she wrote, we had to own one. Special oredered a Gt Prem. conv. with every option available, and believe me.............we are stang fans now. We love our new ride, it is evrything we anticipated and more!!!!!

Mine is a 68 convertible, red. I remember driving by the Ford dealership in 69 in my 57 Renault and thinking about having that car. We could not afford it. I got a 74(I know but it was all that was available at the time) when I graduated from college and really liked it. I am 54 now and the 68 just dropped into my lap. I love it and wish I could do more to it. It needs a few things but basically is a great car and is the one I always wanted. My sons both have 04 GT's. I will have to post some pictures of them all together.

Glad to see someone who like 1974 Mustangs. I don't but I never had one and maybe I would like it.
What Renault model you had? Not many in USA.
If you have a picture of the 74 I would like to see it and the 2004 GT and the 1968 too :-)

I was looking for a project. I spent 2 years shopping, the kids in school ,,house bought . After 17 years without a hot rod. It's now my turn. I saw this one in so many pieces , I got a vision. The rest is tire smoke . And many broken parts. lol

Hello 1st off i would like to thank the godfather for telling me about the site.

The godfather are becoming good friends.

I my self have 2 ford mustangs. One is the wife its an 87 GT 5.0 302 rag top red with white racing stripes. The other is a 01 3.6 liter 6 cyl. red rag top.

I 1st got the 87 for the wife and i fell in love with it and had to get the 01. i like the 01 body style and she liked the 87 body style.

We live in Danville,KY.

When I was 19yrs old I bought a enduro bike and commuted to work and the Universtiy. Every day I would drive by this white hatch back 87-93 fox stang and I told myself I would get it one day. Yrs later while living in Fl. My best friend landed a job at a car dealership so i asked him to keep an eye out for a 87-93 fox stang. A yr later 1997 he told me there was a sweet 90gt convertable someone had traded in with only 39.000 on it. The next day I took my Jetta in and traded it in. I've kept it ever since and it's my daily driver.

I always liked the American cars and especially those of the Sixties. When I was very young the Mustang had struck my mind.
And a few years ago I bought the 67, the best year for me.
I never thought of doing work on it, but once begun the restoration, I liked that enormously. In fact what I like is to create or recreate rather than to have.
My car: 67 with non original 351W, AT/PS, std interior with console.
Engine rebuilt, new color paint, dual exhaust, interior rebuilt, American Racing wheel with Cooper tires.

In early 1964, I special ordered a 64 Fairlane Sports Coupe (black, red interior, console, 289 HP, 4 speed and no radio, my uncle could get a better one cheaper) and the car came in to the dealership around the 20th of April, 1964. On the showroom floor was this 'new' car that Ford came up with, the Mustang. At that time, the Mustang did not have the HP engine as an option so I decided to not accept the dealer's offer to 'trade up'. Two years later, I special ordered a 1966 Mustang Fastback (Signal Flare Red - black interior, 289 4V, 4 speed, console and no radio, same uncle). I traded it in on a 1969 Sportsroof (black, red interior, console, 351W 4V, 4 speed and no radio, I got a better one on my own). Since then I've had to break down and buy 'used' Mustangs, but by that time they became classics. I've owned (for a period of time more than a month) six others but am down to three now. Sure do wish I had kept that first one.

In April of 1964 I was a Junior at the University of Texas in Austin, and when the new Mustangs came to the Ford dealership there in Austin, I drooled over them and swore I would one day own one. Well, today I own two. One is a 1965 C code Coupe and the other is an 03 Mach1. I have owned the 65 for 15 years now, and bought the Mach brand new in 03.
