hi my names stephen and im addicted to stangs ;D im currently on my 27 mustang ive had more than years ive been alive :P

i currently have 3 a 65 restomod, 91gt vert(daily driver), and a recently acquired 95GTS. i dont discriminate on what stangs to buy, mainly just look for a solid car if its a project, or a good over all car if its gonna be a driver.

i started my mustang interests with hotwheels the little red 65 vert, was always my favorite, along with the cobra. it followed me into my teens, i bought my first mustang at age 15 it looked just like Glen's car (soaring) car it was a springtime yellow coupe with the exception of 68gt wheels it had an"A" code motor along with a 3spd manual tranny. it never did run i had the dizzy 180 degrees out  :'( but i traded it for a 72 fastback that ran and drove ;D i drove that car through out most of hs.

my current 65 i fell in love with my senior year in hs my collision repair teacher had it, i bought it after i graduated for 5k and been working on it ever since

the 91 i wanted from the teacher also i bought it in 2005 its been my almost completely problem free diver ever since. except for a few occasions like my recent trip to tampa that left me stranded 3 hours from home in daytona beach thanks to a fuel pump failure.

my 95 i saw sitting in a repair lot the other day turned around and negotiated a price and picked it up the next day. its not running. it had a blown motor, i picked up an exploder 5.0(cobra heads and intake stock just the cam and rockers
are different)  i had 2 studs break off in the head when swapping the intakes and its been sitting since. i got a good deal on some afr165 heads along with a cam, rockers pushrods and bolts etc should see this this weekend. im gonna have a buddy pull the gt40sand install the afr/cam etc. im gonna remove the studs and port them out and either use them on my 5.0 or the 65 for a little boost there also.

ive got plans to acquire another mustang svo and a 69 body style car as soon as i get some where to put them. i still live at home and storage is starting to get slim :P

Are they all sitting outside or taking all the space in your father's garage?  I would love to see a group photo of all the Mustangs you have or had.

I had a hog at one time in my life, but laid it down to avert a head-on collision with an old lady who pulled out in front of me, and I had my lights on.  Crotch rockets can't be seen by some drivers even with the lights on, so that is why there are so many deaths and injuries to crotch rocket drivers.  Needless to say, I sold mine the next day after I laid it down.  I wan't hurt because I had my leathers and helment on.  Sold those too........

I am glad to see that there are so many Mustang faithfulls out there.  I started my fasination with the car in the fall of 1969 when I went with my father while he picked out his new Mustang.  He found a dark blue 1970 Mach 1, 351, auto that he liked and was going to buy.  I wandered around the lot and found another, only this one was an R model, all 428 CI., and ram air to boot.  I dragged him over to it and he bought it.  A few years later I purchased the car from him and I have had it ever since.

Since then I have also owned a 1977, 302, 4sp. (sold), a 1966, 289 auto, coupe which I started restoration on (sold), another 1970 Mach 1, 302 auto that is my current project car (I won a 351 Ford Racing Crate Engine for it in a raffle), a 2003 Mach 1, 5sp, IUP, (sold), a 2004 Mach 1, 5sp, Screaming Yellow (sitting in the garage), and my latest, a 2008 GT-500 (also sitting in the garage).

Being new to these forums, this is my first post, but it won't be my last.  Nice to meet all of you and look forward to "waxing poetic" things about my favorite car.

I was stationed in Japan when the 03 Mach1 came out.  They were pretty rare when they first hit the showroom floors, so when my brother called me and told me the local Ford house had one, and it was a 5 speed, I said buy it.  Well, it turned out to be torch red which if just fine with me, and it is more car than this old man can handle, but I try.   ;D  I already had the 65 coupe, so now my corral is just right.  I need to get a pickup truck though.  It's pretty hard to haul lumber in a Mach1.   ;D

Jim,
Welcome, cool name by the way, to the forum. The 69 Sportsroof was my second favorite Mustang body style, after the 65 and 66 Fastback. My 69 had a 351W 4V, toploader, Hurst linkage (my installation) and was black with a red interior. As a final exam project in an adult education welding and sheet metal school, I designed and built a ram air setup that fit inplace of the air dam yours has. Worked great. What engine do you have?
Jim

And as you should be proud.  Looks like a show winner.  Have you shown it at an MCA show?

You say it is a restomod.  What besides the obvious gauge cluster have you added to make it a restomod? BTW, it looks very nice with the Shelby racing stripes.

I bought my Mustang because I like a challenge or I'm crazy. It's a 73 that has sat in the moisture and dampness of the South Jersey pine barrens. As a result I have learned to weld so I can replace the rotted out floors and other surprises.
