Newbie from Indiana!
« on: December 30, 2009, 01:01:32 AM »
Hello Everyone!

I figured since I was already bugging people for help, that I should introduce myself and tell everyone a little about me.  Well my name is Ted and I just turned 30 years old.  I've owned 11 Mustangs in the past but none since 2002.  After catching my now ex-wife cheating on me she left and I got full 24/7 custody of my two children.  I have a 10 year old boy that just LOVES Mustangs and I have a 2 year old girl as well.  I'm single and just had my early midlife crisis and bought another Mustang after not having one for 7 years!  Here is my problem and hopefully this will make sense.  Back then I knew these Mustangs with the 5.0's inside and out.  I owned 11 of them all from the years of 86-90.  All of them were modified to different extents.  In 2006 I had back to back to back heart surgeries 3 times and they really messed up on me.  I died twice, once for over 5 minutes and can still remember the feeling.  However one of the medicines they put me on made my forget about a lot of my life.  This medicine is no longer made.  I can't remember things like my son being born but I also don't remember bad things as well.  Unfortunately I don't remember how to work on these cars anymore and will have to teach myself all over again.  My last Mustang in 2002 was a 1990 LX 5.0 with 565HP + 175HP nitrous.  It had 410 gears with a tremec tranny and hurst short throw shifter plus about every mod imaginable.  I now own a 1994 Mustang GT 5.0.  This car needed my attention and it has a lot of work that needs done to it.  This engine is not the original.  It was taken out of an 89 Crown Vic police interceptor and was completely rebuilt even though it looked good with only 65K on it.  It has the 94 distributor and it has a 95 cobra manual tranny.  Some mods include an aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator which I have no idea what that is.  It has an external fuel pump.  It has a C&L 80mm MAF, 24lb cobra injectors, smog deleted, off road h-pipe, flowmaster mufflers, 2.5" system.  I have bought some new items to put on it but its too cold and snowy so I'll wait a few months.  My new parts bought so far are 410 gears, new one piece black halo headlights with LEDs, and a short throw shifter.  I want new nice chrome rims and want to get the inside and outside looking better.  But first I want to get it running better first.  It's bright red with black leather interior.  The paint looks good except the bottom curb trim pieces are fading.  My friend has a body shop and will work on this for me.  The front leather seats need replaced or at least some nice custom fitting covers.  Well here are some pics.  Please take into consideration that I've only had the car for about a month and I've driven it only 108 miles so I haven't even given it a good bath yet or changed anything yet.  Consider these pics the "before" pics.  Well it's nice to meet you all and I look forward to talking and learning once again about this car.  I know I've owned 11 of these but its been 7 years and this is a newer one than I've ever had before and with my memory this engine looks foreign now to me!

p.s.-----pics are in my messy garage cause im not gonna back it out into the snow covered driveway!ila_renderedila_renderedila_renderedila_rendered
