New member here from Baltimore Maryland, always looking for a good site. I hate a site or the same flaming members that insist on their "mods" and how yours suck!!! I hope this site is not like that.

Some of the Mustang sites out there have a lot of very young members who think they know it all, and by the time they get through restomodding their Mustangs, it is no longer a Mustang. This site is made up of older, more mature guys and gals, and we are very friendly. Welcome home!!!

Then it sounds like just the site for me. Thanks Soaring and Thierry. It has taken me 14 years to finally get it to where it is now, doing a little at a time as the budget allows.
I have some pics but I think I need to resize them. I'll try and post them soon.

I've been constantly working on my 65 for about that long too. There just always seems to be something else that needs fixing. Right now my passenger door doesn't always shut, so I need to deal with that. Right now I am overhauling the 2100 carb on my 81 F-150 with a 351 W engine. There's always something to do when you own old vehicles. But, I enjoy it.

Great attitude.....I was a moderator on another site for a long time, and I got so tired of hearing kids brag about beating a fart can Honda ricer from light to light. There are just too many things that can go wrong and people wind up getting killed to street race. You are a smart man.

Yes NOS is a cheap way to get extra power but it makes me laugh when I see imports with +500hp. Sure they can beat a stock Mustang in the quarter mile but I seriously doubt their engines will last as long as a V8 with the same power.

But, if the idea of owning a powerful car is to only win at drag races, why not use the spray and beat the opposition if that is the original reason for owning that race car? It seems to me that race cars are not meant to last very long anyway. My boy Jeff Gordon goes through several in a season of NASCAR racing. Race cars get the shit beat out of them. If you want a nice daily driver, don't race it. It is really that simple.

A few races once in a while won't hurt a car and I can understand when people want to use their daily driver to compete with others or check how it can perform. What's the fun to own a powerful car if you can only drive it like any other one?
