might by a gt.. need help
« on: July 28, 2011, 10:30:20 PM »
Hey guys I am new to this forum and might be a permanent member if I like this 2006 Red Gt with black leather tomorrow.  The asking price is 17900 and it has 30 thousand miles.  It is stock (which is good in my opinion, seeing how the previous owner probably did not rag on it so much).  I actually just turned in my v6 mustang because i leased it and i have been without a car since last week and thinking of just buying a used GT.  I am sure most of you will say its worth it, but an honest opinion would be appreciated.  How fast are these guys? I never drove one, the V6 is slow stocked (i have owned one, 6.8 0-60 i believe) the GT is 5 seconds flat i think with 320 lb of torque and 300 ponies.  Anywho if you can give me your opinions and tell me if i should be concerned on how long this car will last me... didd anyone have any problems with there GTs after 30 k miles? ... thanks again!

The Mustang GT's are some of the best cars Ford or any other car maker has ever built.  The engine is good for a lot of power, and has shown no durability issues-no it won't last forever, but I'd snap one up with anything under 100K miles and not hesitate to put the next 100K on it.

As to the forum, welcome and stick around either way, there are some good folks here, even if it seems slow at times-I believe that is because we are actually driving and working on our own cars instead of talking about it!
