Hi all. Check out this 69 Mach 1
« on: November 10, 2009, 07:50:16 PM »
I finally found it ! an honest to god real 69 Mach 1. A friend of mine had one when we were in high school. I wanted one ever since. Ok..so it needs a little cleaning up.
Gotta be worth it! It doesn't look like much but it has the correct numbers, albeit not the correct engine (351c). I'm thinking about making it a boss 429 clone...what year did they start that?

Take your time and do it right.  Start with the mechanics.

Very nice find, it looks like the perfect choice to build a Boss 429 clone. The first one was produced in 1969 and here is how it looks like:

Great find; mind me asking how much you paid?

Any other specs on it?

probably 2 much...gulp... $7. but I really wanted one and there just aren't that many around here (that are within my price range). I figure I can finish it with between 10 and 15 thousand in parts and i do all my own labor. End product = 17 to 22 and a local show winner. Hope I'm not overly optimistic.
