Topic: hey everyone im new here and ive got an interesting project

well i just got a 1969 mustang grande, my brother bought it a few years back and did alot to it. he took it all down to bare metal and took care of the necessary bodywork,shaved the side scoops, bought all new chrome for it, the motor ran just fine so he didnt do anything with that, and the guy he bought it off of just had an all new interior put it...all sounds pretty good right....not exactly, well my brother must have gotten bored or something, during the time he was waiting to get it painted he got the bright idea to cut the top off....now we all tried to talk him out of it but all we got was a "its my car" yadayadayada. so the car was in a million pieces and he got a job offer in las vegas so he pretty much left the car for me. so now i gotta figure out how everything goes back together so im sure ill be askin alot of questions. im gonna try to attach some pics, and feel free to comment and just remember IM NOT THE ONE WHO CUT THE TOP OFF. its just pretty much a free car and im not gonna scrap it.

soaring and stang98, my last post is a resized pic, its all dirty but it gives you an idea of what im workin with, i will post more as soon as i take them.

well, you should be able to get the roof welded back on. but after you do make sure whoever welds it on smooths it out prior to paint. am i correct in saying that soaring?

well i dont think ill be able to put the same roof back on because he cut it off and then cut the car down some more, so id have to get a donor car and cut lower than he did and try to line them up and weld it. im keepin my eye out for another 69 just in case.

look on craigslist and call local scrapyards. but if you do a scrapyard inspect before you buy.
