I've seen the replacement door panels in several parts catalogs devoted to 64-73 Mustangs. It seems like more parts are becoming available for 71-73 Mustangs. In the meantime I removed the dash and heater assembly.

It looks like there is a lot of rust. Did you find any holes after you removed the dash?

There is alot of surface rust on the firewall. Iplan to buy a media blaster from Harbor Freight soon. Not sure what type of abrasive to use yet. My next move is to remove the accelerator pedal brake pedal and master cylinder. Once I have everything removed from the firewall I plan on removing the engine and trans as one unit. I actually find that removing the dash first has made it easier to remove the wiring harness.

Thanks for the info. I have coveralls and duct tape to seal up. I'll get a hood when I buy the blaster. More to do this weekend!!
