712 Iowa 04 GT
« on: July 11, 2008, 02:55:51 AM »
Hey guys, I'm Chris, and I'm extremely new here.
I'm 19, I live in Iowa, and I'm a proud soldier of the United States Army.
15N SPC of the 101st Airborne (screamin' eagles)

But enough about me.

Ever since I was like 4 years old, Mustangs have always wanted a Mustang GT. Sadly on my 16th birthday, my dad gave me a 2002 Firebird LS1. I know, I know, nothing to complain about but it just wasn't a Mustang. I never had the money to buy one but I knew that when the time came I was going to get an 04 GT. So about 2 months ago I got my signing bonus from the United States Army and went out and bought the 04 GT that I was waiting for. I bought it in perfect condition with 52k miles for 14,400$. It's easily the best feeling in the world when you buy your dream car and climb in to the driver's seat for the first time...
...And easily the worst the first time you wreck it. About 2 weeks ago I was taking a friend home and on the way back to town......a deer happend. (sad face)
Its in the shop right now, needed a new bumper, driver headlight, hood, fender, and the little 40th anniversary emblem that goes on the fender.
Grand Total:3,520$
Hopefully it will be done tomorrow or Saturday. God I miss it.
I'll have pics of it up as soon as it gets out of the shop...
Anyway, Drop me one, I'd love to hear from you and about your Mustangs.

Until then-

                                                                       Chris

Welcome to the family Chris.  May I say thank you for your service.  The Army RULES!!!  So sorry to hear about what happened to your baby.  Post up some pics when you get her home.

Thank you very much. I'm glad to be here. And yeah, it's a real tragedy. I just stopped by the body shop today and found out my bumper isn't in yet so I won't get it back until Wednesday. Horrible. But thats the price you pay for living in Iowa...

This is very true.  Driving in Iowa, it's definately required to figure out how to dent proof your car.  These people can not drive.  I absolutely hate having to go into Des Moines at all!!

Welcome Chris...I know the sick feeling you get when your Mustang is dented.  My wife hit one of  those pipes that protect the gas pumps, and dang near tore off the passenger side rear quarter panel on my 03 Mach 1 and I had to grit my teeth to not tell here how I REALLY felt at the time. ;D   But hey, she's back to looking' good again.  ( The car. ;D) There are more important things in life than a Mustang, but not many.   ;D
