If you don't upgrade the suspension components you can get by, but will be putting extra weight on those 4 cylinder components. If you are going to do it.....do it right. Southern engineering is not allowed.

LMAO southern engineering...... thanks i needed a good laugh.the 93 cobra r's used 4 banger springs but nothing else (had something to do with road racing and handleing).i'm working on a rough draft of the write up now.o a side note a 6 banger's k member is the same as a 4 or 8 cycl. the only one different is the 79-82 I6. the 79-82 I6 cars would require the k member to be swaped in order to drop a v8 in.
the v8 cars gave up the 7.5 that previous 5.0s usedand 5.0s werent very weak they were 225hp and 300ftlbs of torque same as an "A" code 289 and they were faster
nope is a different rear axle assembly. heres a pic of an 8.8 the 7.5 looks nearly identical
