Pikes Peak -
« on: October 31, 2010, 12:34:18 PM »
This is the way racing should be.

A friend of mine held a couple of class records for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb several years back, before he went over the edge. A Bell helmet kept his head intact, even though it cracked.
Enjoy.

An exciting ride for sure.  What kind of car is that?  Sounds like an Italian engine.

It's a Suzki SX4 3.1L (190CID, 900 + HP), but may be a XL7. In any case, it's fast.

I researched all the Suzuli SX4's and none of them match it.  Unless  it's a highly modified Suzuki, I still think it's an Italian like a Mazarati.

A highly modified Suzuki it is, and it is a SX4 per the Driver's Entry List - see -

In the Entry List in the vintage class, are several classic Mustangs as well.

That's a hard running Suzuki for sure.  He was averaging over 70 MPH on curves I wouldn't take at 30 in my Mach 1.   Did you notice he had a hard time staying on the road?  ;D
