September photo contest
« on: September 01, 2009, 01:39:37 PM »
From the 1st till the 15th, you can post as many photos of your Mustang as you like to be considered for the winner of the Mustang of the month contest.  The more creative your photos are, the better chance you have of winning.  Post shots of the engine bay, interior, and of course exterior shots. The winner will receive a cyber trophy that will be passed each month to the new monthly winner, and they will also recieve a trophy under their user name.
From the 15th till the end of the month each member can vote for his favorite Mustang.
At the end of the year, there will be a winner chosen from the mustang of the month contest which will represent the site as the mustang of the year for this site. Each month's winners cannot submit photos for consideration for the rest of the year, but will automatically be in the running for the mustang of the year award which will be a copy of the 25th Anniversary of the Mustang DVD and other surprise gifts.    Good luck!

I'll get it started with Ol' Yeller.  1965 coupe with a fully restored body ten years ago.  Original 289 and 3 speed manual.  I drive her almost every day.  I've seen some really good looking SN95's and others on here who need to submit their pics.  Let's get with the program.   ;D

Soaring, that car looks like it's in perfect condition ... and especially for a daily driver.  I have to say I'm very jealous.

Thank you, I take a lot of pride in my cars and try to keep them in tip top condition.  I just replaced the speedometer cable today because it broke.  Man, I thought maybe an hour job, but it turned into a 3 hour job.  The threads on the cable connection behind the gauge pod were stuck, so I had to take the cable loose from the tranny and shove the cable jacket up so that I could get a wrench on the connection at the pod.  Well, the cable housing was stuck in the transmission because of its' age, so had to twist it with a pair of large pliars and pry it loose with a screwdriver.  In the end, I have a new cable, but sore muscles.   ;D She is a real pleasure to drive, and the young kids today have no idea of what they have missed in driving a mostly unmodified classic.

I find no job is ever as easy as it should be because there will always be at least ONE thing that is really screwed up!

Submissions were supposed to be closed two days ago and as there was only one entry, I extended it but now that we have two cars it will stay between Soaring and Konrad. ;)

Yeah, you can show it, and we encourage it, but do it next month.  Let's keep this mustang of the month contest going so that all are represented who wish to be.
