June Photo contest
« on: May 31, 2009, 11:35:49 PM »
You now have until June 15th to post as many photos of your Mustang to be considered for the June winner of the Mustang of the month contest.  At the end of the year, there will be a winner chosen from the mustang of the month contest which will represent the site as the mustang of the year for this site.  Each month's winners cannot submit photos for consideration for the rest of the year, but will be in the running for the mustang of the year award.  The more pictures you submit, the better chance you have of winning.  Thierry is in France right now, so I am substituting for him.

Ahhhhhh! You didn't read the rules. One photo per contestant it says and you had to do it while I was on holidays with a dial up connection.  :'(
Never mind the rules, it's more interesting like this so I will write them again and wait until I find a computer with high speed internet to see all your photos.  :D

I prefer it this way as well.  We get to see all of the car, and not just a sunset shot of the body.

Here's my '65 C code  289 3 speed "Ol Yeller."  She's pretty much all stock except for a few things.  She was running hot when I first got her 20 years ago, so I added a 4 row radiator, a 6 blade fan, a shroud and a recovery tank.  She runs cool as a cucumber now.  I also tightened up the front end a little with a Monte Carlo Bar and an export brace.  I also added a two bowl brake master cylinder.  I drive my 65 almost every day, so need a few upgrades to make her worthy of the road.  Other than  the above mentioned upgrades, Mag 500 wheels and dual exhaust,  she is in the area of being close to stock.  The engine and transmission, and rear end and brake system are still original with new shoes and wheel cylinders of course.  I still have the original wheels and hub caps, but only put those on to go to shows

Mustang Shelby GT 500 evo stage 3
« Reply #12 on: June 13, 2009, 12:42:21 PM »
Here is a Mustang Shelby GT 500 from a member of the French forum, Hells17. He doesn't speak English so he asked me to post his photos.
The Shelby has a stage 3 tune up from Evolution Performance allowing it to reach 700 rwhp. The car was modified in the UK with a Cervini body kit but the body is in the process to return to its original condition, it has a Roush suspension kit and a set of Shelby GT500KR wheels.

Just one more day.  We will close this out after midnight tonight so that everyone has two weeks to vote.  We have everything represented from classics to race cars that are highly modified.  Great looking Mustangs everyone.  We are all winners.

Just 3 more days to pick a winner.  We have a 3 way tie right now, but things could change if more members voted.

Thank you Exxodus, RKpzimor, Flavinadutchmanfc and Smiklevgu4vov for submitting the pictures of your cars, but our winner for the June contest is Hells 17.  Congratulations to you Hells 17 from France.  All of you submitted extremely beautiful cars in various categories, and are to be congratulated for having the impetus to maintain and make your Mustang into what you want your Mustang to be.  There are no losers here.  We are all winners and enjoy the comraderie of sharing the single most popular collection of American muscle in our Mustangs.  I raise my glass to all of you.
Here you go Hells17.  Here is your trophy for the month of June, but you have to pass it on to the July winner, etc.  At the end of the year, there will be a Mustang of the Year made up of just the monthly winners, and the winner will keep the trophy.
