December photo contest
« on: December 01, 2009, 08:11:59 PM »
From the 1st till the 15th, you can post as many photos of your Mustang as you like to be considered for the winner of the Mustang of the month contest.  The more creative your photos are, the better chance you have of winning.  Post shots of the engine bay, interior, and of course exterior shots. The winner will receive a trophy under his user name.
From the 15th till the end of the month each member can vote for his favorite Mustang.
At the end of the year (this month), there will be a winner chosen from the mustang of the month contest which will represent the site as the mustang of the year and the award will be a copy of the 25th Anniversary of the Mustang DVD and other surprise gifts.    Good luck!

As per stang98's request :)

Ford has come a long way!

Old and new... I saw this one for sale some where and thought I'd take a side by side.

Very nice car.  I like seeing the new Mustangs next to the classic older models as I believe Ford did a very good job of making a "Tribute" car.

Enjoy yours, it is a sweet looking ride.

If we had more members, and especially members who are interested in this, we would have more votes.  Realiy suggests that we don't right now.  There has to be rules and a parameter set to make this kind of thing fair, and I believe the rules are fair.  If you don't agree, register your complaint with Thierry.   ;D

i think the rules are fair but if u pit old against new old will win most of the time.

Yeah due to nostalgia. The old ones were great but if I look at them objectively I personally think the new ones are like the old ones but actually better looking. I look at the two and see a great thing that was improved.

We don't have enough members to vote; to separate the two categories.   In reality, we should have a new and an old voting poll, but we just don't right now.  I love them both.  I own an 03 Mach 1 and a 1965 coupe.  I don't prefer one over the other, but I do have a love of the old ones that folks have taken the time, money and effort to bring them back to life and keep them running as long as they actually drive them frequently.

You could always add a COTM moderator to do the judging and everyone just sends in everything about there car/bio and what not?

That is true.  But this a family style oriented site where the members have a say-so.  Sending in the pics and bio to a 3rd party would just complicate the process.  We just need to grow a bit more to have the contest deal with the issues of the old against the new.   However, thank you for your suggestion.
