I want to know what anyone and everyone thinks the best year of mustang is and I don't meant you think is cool but is all around the best built for handling and style and speed. I like the 88 Gt it looks light and with the short shift and the 5.0 really gets it down the road with the quickness.STANG OUT

Well I would have to say the 06 just do to the fact it has the best of every thing in it.

But then I think the old shelbys would be awsome because of the way Mr Shelby set them up to be the best thing on the road. or a 69 mach 1.  Oh wait thats a favorit.   :-D

As I look more and more as the stangs I find myself falling in love with the 65-67 fastbacks. I don't know why but I like the back end of her, and would like to know how hard it wold be to get ahold of one. STANG OUT and yes 69 are very nice.

Very good point race, I love my 73 because it is the best mustang EVER MADE, lol but I am thinking about getting another one and cannot6 decide to go older or newer and it is killing me, I think I might end up going with like a 88 GT that I can just drive on a daily basis and not have to worry about the rust or back window and little things like that. I don't like to drive my 73 alot but I love to set there and look at it and the doctor said I have to keep comming for visit but I think I am okay, lol. STANG OUT

I know what you mean bro.   I want a 06gt but thats not going to happen right now.   You come to Campbellsville on the 3rd and I will show you what I had to do to my window.

Oh a candyapple red 1969 Mach 1 would be the greatest car ever made LOL :-D

I have got old english letters with the color match for my car it was hard to find and it takes up my whole back window. I would like to come down so let me know and I will make sure my JOES don't have to work and it will be on. STANG OUT

I think Rentascout is talking about the window he broke while he installed it. This is something I would never touch. I bought one one day with the intention to have it installed by a professional but on the way home from the junkyard (2 miles away) a big crack appeared while it was sitting on the back seat.

It's hard to tell what Mustang would be the best without having driven them all but if you don't include the Shelbys, Saleens or modified limited edition Mustangs, I would say the 2005/2006 GT's are the best of all.
Some like the 69/70 Boss 429 had more power and sex appeal but the handling and top speed of the newer ones can't be beat.
I guess like Racedraper says the best one is the one you own or dream to own.
My dream car would be a 1969/1970 Fastback with modern technology chassis and drive train but that's just a dream for now.

yeah I still cannot believe that I took all that time to scrap all tha gunk off and clean it up primer it nad the dam back window is still leaking,WTF. Oh well I hope I will find away to stop it but you never know. I would like to get a newer mustang but I think they are over priced and cheaply built compared to the ones of the 60 70 and some 80 models. I will own a 67 fastback, I finaly got my wife to look at the other side of things and she use to love Chevy but know I got her wanting a 67 so I know it will be easiser to get it when I find it. Yeah I bet it would be a great car but lookinhg for somthing that has really nothing done to it for the fact that I want to say that I did all the work I have a thing about that don't know why , lol. I think even a old coupe would be sweet but who knows I am stillwaiting to get my 73 up here so I can start to work on her again I got alot of work done in just a couple of weeks so who knows what I can do now. The best one is the 1969 Mustang. A  shark look to eat hondas and other boxes with wheels.

Anyone knows a famous Movie featuring a 1969 Mustang?
Anyway my first love when I was a kid was the Ford Falcon in the Mad Max movies and I knew I could never get one but that's when I became interested in Mustangs and particularly the 71/72/73 ones, the closest design to Mad Max's Falcon.
Today I don't see much in common between Mad Max's car and the 71/73 Mustangs but they were my dream cars until I became the owner of a 1969 Mustang.

I would think that the 69/70 boss 429 would be the fastest boos in the quarter.  I know on A&E they had the top 10 muscle cars of all time and the 70 boss 429 was 3rd.

You know why they don't use the 69 in alot of movies?  They don't want to hurt them LOL

I have seen them in alot of movies.  Talladaga Nigths has one in it.

They are all great.
