Some sad news.

I sorry to report that Glen Wren, aka Soaring, has died. Here is a portion of the message I got from an in-law.
"It's bad news I'm sorry to say. Our dear friend Glen Wren passed away Sunday morning at the hospital. He had a combination of liver and lung difficulties. Ada was with him. Their son Matt was up here planning to make a new start in life; house hunting and making plans as such. He just left for Texas within the hour. He's driving back.
"Well, that's all I know. I told Matt "God must be getting an ear full right about now." I think I got him to smile a little."

I am really surprised and deeply sorry to hear this as I didn't even know he was ill. Glen was never afraid to speak his mind even with me but he was a great man and always available to help others with his knowledge about Mustangs. He did a lot to help me with the forum and without him, nothing will be the same.
My sincere condolences to his family.

Glen Wren (Soring) died Monday, January 17th, 2011. I'm Ada, his wife. Moderator, please move this to the appropriate forum.
Funeral details are at
http://www.thomasonfuneralhome.com/
- the Wimberley facility, not the one in San Marcos.
I can no longer drive a stick shift), so both of Glen's Mustangs will be for sale. Ole Yeller ('65 289) and Big Red ('03 Mach 1). Location: Wimberley TX (near Austin). E-mail Glen's brother,
SmokeyWren@hotmail.com
, for details.

Oh no, what happened? I am so sorry. Tried to bring up the funeral addressed you posted but got nothing. He never said a thing about being sick at all. This is really a shock. Glen use to kid with me and said I must be his long lost twin because we both own a 1965 Springtime Mustang Coupe, we are both 67, and both born in October. I have not been on here long but the times I talked to Glen he seemed like such a great guy and so helpful. He will be greatly missed on here. Again, so sorry for your loss. John

Really hard to believe. Hate to see you sell his Mustang. He loved it so. So sorry for your loss. My condolences to his family. He never said a word about being ill. He seemed like a great guy for the short time I talked to him and he was such a help on here. Again, I am so sorry. John

The funeral address doesn't seem valid, I guess the correct one would be this one?

My sincere condolences to Glen's family.
I'm a newbee here and I always looked forward to Glen's insite on Mustangs. We just got into a discussion a week or so back about age and who was the oldest member of the group. I think there were three of us at 67. Like the others I never thought he was ailing to that extent.
I will miss him greatly. . . .

I am so sorry to hear that Glen has passed away. I have only been a member of this forum for a week and had to wonder who this energetic poster was. I was familiar with Glen from another forum around 2003. I had no idea that he was Soaring and lived about 20 miles from me.
RIP Glen Wren

Sucks to hear that this had happened. As far as I know he was a great guy to help out with anything that needed help. Whether it be about mustangs or something else. Sucks I never got to meet him since we are both in texas
