raising compression?

whats up guys i have a 1986 mustang gt and i am building a 5.0 engine for it i have a set of j 302 heads with a stage 3 port with a after market cam the heads are shaved down i am wondering my options for raiseing compression?

J 302?? you mean J code from a 60 model mustang?

either pistons that have less dish, no dish or pop ups will raise compression.  Without changing heads, shaving the heads and zero decking the block can only give you a small increase, but make it necessary to alter the intake to fit with the changes.

Of course a turbo or supercharge will sort of raise the compression too!
