I really would like to change the interior color, but I don't have the money to change it. Plus, the red interior on the 94-95 Mustangs are fairly rare. I'm just sick of all red at this point though. I think a little change would do it some good. I really wanted to do a blue and silver two tone but I can't with the interior. If I had the money to buy a black or gray interior, I would. But, for now I have to keep the red.

I think it will look cool like that 2-tone combo...AND with the red interior.  I'm going with an all red interior in my car because black or gray interiors are so common and overdone they are boring.
Glad you liked the pics, now go get it painted and have fun with it!   Bring it to Missouri and I can put the pinstripe on for you too!

Yeah, if you are going to go black on Red for the exterior like that pic (which is ugly  ) I would take the black all the way to the ground on the center of the bumpers.  Or just keep the car red, and add a black racing stripe.  That would be the cheapest way out, and give it some class.   Look at my Mach in my signature picture, and see if that could be a choice.  I like it.  Just enough black to break up the red exterior.

I just called my paint guy and set up an appt. The car goes March 15th for paint, so I should have pics up by the end of March. I'm pretty sure about the Charcoal/Silver/Red idea. There's a few red mustang's that are running around my home town that have the black racing stripes already, so I don't want to blend in . But I should have pics up throughout the project.

I will! My camera broke about two weeks ago and I haven't spent the money on a new one yet. The pictures will be professional quality this time, though!

Everybody has their opinion and choice of cameras, but my old FinePix A303 has served me well, and it takes great shots if I do my part right.  It's made by FujiFilm.  I'm sure there are better ones out there, but for sheer simplicity, I like mine.  Sure does eat up batteries though.

I have seen enough "freaks" to have an opinion to keep our Mustangs relatively normal.  Does the color combination really matter that much though?  Color doesn't go fast.

Your car may be faster, but his car will get more attention.  Some people want style and looks (=babes), while gearhead freaks want only speed.  Cars are a personal statement of their owners...not what YOU want their car to be.

You are absolutely correct.  However, he did ask for opinions.  At least I think we gave him something to consider.  As you can tell, I tend to lean toward the stock side,  whereas, many of you tend to lean to the restomod style.  Neither side is wrong.....just a matter of opinion.

I think it all depends on the car you have. Personally, I think the 94-98 Mustangs need a little something to spice them up. That's why I went with the subtle body kit rather than some of the more radical ones you see or just leaving it stock. I think there's an area between bland and radical and that's where I'm trying to be. I think the newer Mustangs and even the older ones look great stock, but ones like mine are just too bland that way.

I agree with the bland part of the 80's- 90's Mustangs.  Let us know what you decide.

please dont put a dark color on top if you 2 tone it that is a mini truck thing and doesnt look right at all on any car.....

If you are asking for opinions, I would leave it like it is.  But, the only color I can think of that goes with red is white or possibly black.  My Mach is red with the black racing stripe and I think it looks rad.

I tried gold on the top half of the edited photos (earlier part of this message) and it really didn't look good at all.  Some cars look good in certain colors while other cars in the same exact color scheme/combo look bad.  I love bright yellow and black stripes on 69-later Mustangs, but I had a '69 Camaro that had that same combo and I hated that car's color.  I wanted to repaint it so badly.  Likewise, I don't think the 65-66 Stangs look good with Yellow/black.

I completely agree. The two tone idea IMO works so well because my car has the body line right below the windows. That line is almost perfect for the two tone idea. I hate racing stripes on a car that is basically rounded off. The 99-up Mustangs look good with the racing stripes because they were a little more edgy.

Yeah, I agree.  The racing stripes belonged to the older vintage Mustangs, and not the newer models.  That's why I suggested the modest stripe on the hood, and not the entire body.
