« on: August 18, 2009, 08:19:01 PM »
I know exactly what type of x pipe i want for my mustang gt. I want a bassani o/r x pipe, but is it better to save money and get a used one in good condidtion or spend an extra 150 or 200 dollars and get a new one?

I would buy the new one. You never know what that used one has been through.

What's better? Buy a new car or an used one?
We all have different opinions and no one will know what would be better for you.  ;D
If you want to save some money buy an used one.
If you want something trouble free with a warranty buy a new one.

Personally, for exhaust parts, I would go with the new ones.

I've never thought of buying used exhaust parts, but if it is already off and you can thoroughly inspct it, seems like a good idea.

If it's the stainless steel xpipe, you really only need to look for holes and bad scrapes.  Those pipes are strong and don't rust.  If you can find a used one, that would be a great to save some monies.

There is nothing better then a new thing, you might actually spend more by trying to save on a used one as you might end up in troubles in a short period of time...I would go with a new one all the time.
