New Convertible?
« on: July 09, 2011, 02:02:32 AM »
Okay..  I really want a red 67 or 68 Convertible, but I cant bring myself to repaint my original Sea Foam Green 67, so, without messing with my current mustang, this week, I'm either going to buy a blue '67 or a red '68 and finish it in red with black interior/top...

Question..  Both sellers are asking the same amount for the cars..  The red one is a 289, power top, power steering, power breaks, no A/C.

The blue one is a 351, Power steering, drum breaks, A/C and non-powered top..

Which do I go with?  Both run great and are mechanically sound..  the red one will be a less expensive re-paint, while the blue one will be a strip down and complete repaint inside and out..  a big cost difference there... But the blue one has a 351.

Which one should I get at the end of the day.?

I would go with the red 68 .. if you want red. Looks like a nice car which would get my vote. If your plan is doing some mods, then go with the blue it already modded so no harm done and you can make it your own
