The more I think about this, California DMV should be reimbursing him. Not this woman. They registered and issued a clear title for a stolen vehicle. This one should be on DMV, not this woman who's family has invested quite a bit of money in this car.

My point has always been that if you are given a clear title to a car you bought, then the car is yours.  Obviously, the woman was given a clear title.  The car is hers.

Wow, this is an old thread.  Yeah, like I said, the car belongs to the man from whom it was stolen.  But, and I repeat....But, If I was him, I would just tell the woman to keep it if she would pay a fair market price for it.  No doubt they would both come out with a win-win situation that way.

The whole problem with that idea is she had the car up for sale!

I think she's less upset about losing the car and more upset about losing the money from the sell!

None the less it sucks for her, but lets not make it something it's not.

I would still like to know more about this story, I have a feeling there's a lot of it missing/untold.

i started to rebuild my first carb that i bought a few months ago. when i took the economizer valve off the threads crumbled. anyway, when i went to put the new one on, it wouldnt go. is there a reason for this? and yes the rebuild kit is for the carb
