Topic: I've got a mustang trunk lid, dont know the year.thinking 69-70 71-73 not sure

Yeah I was just wondering if someone could tell me what year this goes to? I can not figure out how to upload a pic so I posted some pics on a craigslist site so here is the link. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Alot.

Hi and welcome to the site. This trunk lid is coming from a 69-70 coupe for sure.

I'd have to see some more descriptive applications to determine, but Thierry is probably right.  It's from a coupe, that's for sure.  Looks like my 65 trunk lid too.     There is a number stamped into the trunk lid on the inside at the top of the lid.  Here is a pic of mine, and it indicates a 65.  See if you can locate that number.

The number idea is the best one, I wasn't sure where to find it.

Measure it. The date code only tells month, day, shift and possibly the plant, not year.
