engine keeps over heating and I can't find the problem

my 1970 mustang engine over heats for no reason and the engine will stop help I have been told it could be vapor lock. what do you think?

No, vapor lock  has to do with the fuel delivery system where the fuel is over heated before and after it gets to the carb.  Your engine is overheating because the water system that is supposed to keep the temperature of the engine under control and something in that has failed.    That involes the radiator, fan and the  180.
