I would have to say the 70 Mach... I like the clean lines  .. not the fake scoops on the sides of the 69 mach hate them. If I wanted scoops I would go with a 69 shelby now if you were asking about a 69 or 70 boss I would have to say 69... hehe are you confused?"   ::)

I have to go with the 69 as well.  The dual headlights along with the nonfunctional rear quarter scoops gives it a more agressive look.

All the exposed sheet metal (except the hood) and the under hood and under dash wiring is different between years. That's the bad news, the good news is you can use a 69 hardtop or 69 convertible as a donor car.

I also prefer the 69 over the 70 for body style reasons alone.  In addition, the engines started to become weak assed 8:1 compression ratio starting with the 70's because of the gas crunch back then.  I know what it was like having to sit in line at the gas station back then.  I also prefer the dash layout of the 69 and the back window as compared to the 70.

I had a 70 Mach I for 15 years so definately a 70 fan. 69s are great too. Your statement about compression? BS, My Cleveland was 11.7:1 and the Boss 351 was high as well. It was after that they dropped compression. Not sure what the back window comment is, they are the same body.
