Check Engine Light
« on: June 28, 2010, 04:42:52 PM »
I just brought a 2000 Mustang and it has been trouble since I drove it home off the lot. The Check engine light has gone on 4 times already and I fixed the other 3 times. This time i got a different code, P1414. (Secondary Air Injection Monitor Circuit High Voltage). Im not that great with cars but does anyone know what this means?

Take it into your Ford dealer and have them run the codes.

No I don't, but if you want a free read, then take to Autozone and have them read it.

if it keeps happening just buy a scanner and keep clearing it.

It needs attention by a Ford mechanic.  You can't just ignore it.

I think there are shops that offer this kind of service for free. I mean reading the code for free and then get their service for repair.

better yet, go to a ford retailer for best result.  8)
