Topic: Can anyone tell me what its worth??

When I bought my '66 it came with an extra engine and transmission, now I am told it may be quite valuable. It is a 289 with a top-loader 4 spd transmission. I was told it may be out of a GT. Does anyone know what this is worth? I have someone who wants to buy just the transmission but someone told me it may not be wise to split them up. Can anyone offer insight on values of the transmission and engine opposed to the combo?

I can't give you any numbers but this combo is certainly very valuable. Some people pay big dollars for a number matching restoration and if you advertise it on Ebay I am sure the bids will go much higher than what you could get if you sell them separately.

Totally agree especially if they were out of a GT car.  VERY hard to find.
