automatic choke's positive connection on Holley 4150 carb
« on: June 07, 2009, 07:55:42 PM »
First, thanks to all who responded to my negative battery lead location on the block.

Second, I have to find a 12v source, under the hood if possible, for the positive lead on the automatic choke.

Holley does not recommend attaching to the coil.

Source should be hot when ignition key is on and cold when off.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Soaring

It goes to the stator  (S) terminal of the solenoid because of the amount of power and the fact the choke doesn't need to be on unless the engine is running.

12 volts will burn up that bi-metal choke coil real fast
