2004 Door hinge question
« on: May 06, 2012, 11:29:22 AM »
My car has a problem with the doors closing on their own, whenever the car is on a slight grade. The hinges are not worn. This model uses an elastomer for resistance, not a spring.Other than shimming the plastic,is there something else that I can do to keep the doors from closing? I've never had this problem with spring loaded hinges, but had the same issue with a T-Bird that had the same cheesy hinges.Thank you.
