1971 Mach 1 Mustang Cowl Problems
« on: April 09, 2012, 09:39:23 AM »
I am restoring a 71 Mach 1 and I have ran into a big problem; my cowl is bad top corners and bottom. I hope maybe somebody out there has a rust free cowl for a 1971 Mach 1 they are wanting to sell. If so PLEASE let me know even if you know someone else that does. Thank you very much!!

Good luck, I don't think there are any reproductions and any that are in good condition are likely in cars that are also in good condition.

Last I heard, proper cowl replacement was about $2500 at a known mustang specialist in Chattanooga.  It is a big job.

It may be possible to use an aftermarket part from the 69/70 series stangs
