1969 mustang coupe build tips
« on: June 24, 2009, 12:54:08 AM »
so i have a 1969 mustang coupe with a new 390 in it and im not really engine savvy unfortunately so i was wondering what the best way to go about modifying the engine for max power would be as well as what transmission would be best, exhaust, suspension set up, etc.

any ideas would be much appreciated and also if you could tell me where the best performance parts can be found that would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site newb.  So, you have a stock 390?  That is one of the nicest big blocks you could ever own.  If I were you, I would contact all three of these places and ask them the same question.  You can always change out the heads, intake, headers, etc., but just don't throw money at the engine.  That stock 390 is most likely all the engine you are going to need unless you are into racing at the track.
