I'm in the process of installing a car alarm in my restored 1966 Mustang (V6,Auto,Convertible). I'm trying to hook up the Starter Kill. I have the relay and socket (listed below & see photo).

* 12VDC BOSCH RELAY SPDT 30A (Plastic housing with mounting tab. Bosch #0 332 209 150. Made in Germany.)

* 12VDC 5-PIN RELAY SOCKET w/DIODE (Pre-wired relay socket with diode across the coil. Designed for use with starter kill circuits. Three 12" leads. For use with 5-pin Bosch type relay.)

There are only 3 wires to connect (86=orange, 87a=white, 30=red). Pin 85 is connected to Pin 30 with a short red wire. Where should I connect each of these wires?  I assume the 86 wire connects to the purple wire (starter kill) coming from the alarm.

What kind of connectors (butt, spades, etc.)
(http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?&DID=7&WebPage_ID=68) do I use? Also, does it matter what gauge the various wires (alarm/relay) are?

The alarm is installed under the hood (near the battery at right front of car).

The installation manual is located at:

Thanks,
Tom
