Yippeeeee! Another success story. I once was out of town when my starter went south. Some kids offered to push start it, so that's what happened, then I drove it to an Autozone and got a rebuilt one. Well, fortunately I had my tool box in the trunk so Unhooked the positive cable on the battery and proceeded to crawl under there to take the old one out and replace it with the rebuilt one. But, dammit, it started raining while I was under there and it was a miserable ordeal to change them out and my back and trousers were completely soaked. But, she cranked right up. It was good thing I have vinyl seats because I was dripping wet. Oh, what we sometimes go through to preserve these old dinosaurs.

I'll tell you one thing. The combination of a nice new heavy guage positive wire and new starter is insane! When you crank the starter she starts instantly and the starter cranks real fast!!! Its so nice to know that it works really well.
