Shift Shaft seal

I have a 67' with a C4 that leaks around the shift shaft, I am sure there is a seal that needs to be replaced. Has anyone out there had any experience doing it and would mind pointing me in the right direction?

I've not done it myself but I'm told it's not too difficult to do.  There are a number of posts about it on this forum:
