Nice job on the red delux belts. One of my blue delux retractor covers was cracked so I sent the pair to Ssnake-Oyl. In return, I got new labels, new webbing and everthing replated.
Rear seat belts were a federal requirement in 1966 (at least in California). I believe Ford put rear belts in all 1966 models to get a jump on the new regulations.
To recap for passenger cars (trucks had a different time line):
1964 and earlier - no seat belt requirements.
1965: front seat belts required, rear optional.
1966: front and rear seat belts required.
1967: front and rear seat belts required, front shoulder harness optional.
1968 and future; front and rear seat belts required, front shoulder harness required.
I don't know when rear shoulder harnesses were required. For a couple of years, some cars would not start unless the front belts were used, my 1973 Torino had an alarm that went off which was annoying but deactivated very easy.

Jim is probably right about the rear seat belts on a 66. To make for certain, take the back seat out and see if there is a nut that is welded into the trunk area. If it is there, then rear seat belts were probably either required or an option. My 65 doesn't have it.

Hi All,
Sorry I haven't continued earlier... I've taken some time off to enjoy the Olympics (I live in Vancouver).

As for the seat belts, I'll be damned if I can find any hook up in the back seat area! It's been about 6 years since I took the car apart (to restore) so I don't know what's up. At any rate, for now I will try to restore my existing front seat belt and see how it goes. Look like Michjd2's job turned out great! I'll try that first.

I think this are hub caps, I want the mags. I am going to Seattle tomorrow and was hoping to find a place to buy them, does anyone know a shop in the Seattle area that may sell these?

Those are Styled Steel Wheels, an option for 66. (I have a set of five factory originals on my "K" car.) There is an el cheapo version that's just a wheel cover. The actual stuff you need is the wheel, a trim ring, a center cap and five lug nuts. NPD sells a set of four for $787.95.
To access the rear belt mounting points you must remove the rear seat bottom. You will find four mounting holes maybe with bolts in them (the threaded part is visible from the under side), one at each end and two in the center.

Yes, the styled wheels are what I want, and not the cover. I found Cal-Mustang in California sells them for about $680. Trouble is being in Canada I would end up paying a stupid amount of duty and taxes to ship them here, unless I spend 48 hours in the US then I can bring them back duty free. This ends up being about a $500 savings (YES, $500!!!!). So I am heading south with the family to Seattle so my wife can shop and I can get my tires, I guess now that I think of it with the wifes shopping it's going to cost me more that the $500 I'm saving on the rubber... dam... aww well, at least I get my tires!

So, does anyone know a good tire place in Seattle?
