Topic: Replacement shocks

I am replacing my rear leaf springs with new and want to purchase a good set of shocks for both ends of my 67 convertible 289. What recommendations does anyone have? Please give me a brand and model # and why you are recommending a certain style/brand?

With the amount of information you gave us, stock. The only other viable option is gas filled. Unless you intend on doing some serious track racing, there are your choices. As to brands, Gabriel, Sears, Monroe or KYB. They all make a range of types so think about what your intentions are.

I have KYB's on my 65 and absolutely love the ride.  Not too stiff, not too soft.  Just good and solid.
