Forgive me for poating this but it just popped into my head and I am at work and it will haunt me until I get home this evening unless someone answers it for me. I just picked up a new pair of shocks for my car and I was going to change them out this evening but for the life of me i cant remember seeing the top shock mount inside the trunk. I know thats where it is on my camaro. Is the top shock mount accessable through the trunk on the mustang?

Take the top and bottom part of your back seat out, and you will see the plugs under where the back part meets the floor. At least that's the way it is on my 65.
