Hello folks!
I have a trouble with my just intalled 429 '71 engine
All is fine except for one annoying little things - it's a problem with the steering pump.
When the motor is idle, or idle-3000 rpm pump is working properly, but hot a little.
When on the road the engine speed rises to 3000-6000 RPM, the pump starts to boil, push the fluid out. It is very unpleasant at high speed on the road:) I'm not sure about pump condition...
I've start to think about change the pump , for example, from toyota... maybe i wrong, saginaw pump is great and i just need a refurb pump?
If you can, answer the questions:
Which liquid is allowed to use? ATF possible?
What the operating temperature of the pump?
What's pressure and flow?
What is the ratio of pump-crank?
thanks advance, Serg
