Power Steering leak
« on: July 25, 2009, 09:21:29 PM »
Has anyone had a leak at the pump where the nut is against the housing? Can it be stopped, if so how?

Take a look at the picture and see where there are two lock nuts are; the fluid is coming out behind the one closest to the pump, not at the connection where the high pressure line connects.

Thanks,

Jeff

If there is no O ring then im assuming the only way to stop the leak would be to get a new pump and hoses?

After more research I have found that it is a difficult fix to do at home. There is a company in Texas that will go though the pump and recondition it fairly reasonably.

Thanks,

Jeff
