Topic: Power steering

I have been driving my 67' a lot lately and it seems the more I drive it leaks pop up. Now my power steering pump is leaking near the upper high pressure hose. There looks to be a lock nut against the housing and another nut that screws up against that nut all on the same treaded nipple the hose screws to. Is there an O ring that seals the housing? It does not appear the leak is coming from the hose portion, but from the housing itself around the nut area. Is this an easy fix for a home mechanic?

There is a kit available from all the Mustang after market guys (NPD).  It requires the removal of the canister and a new gasket installed on the perimeter of the canister and a gasket around the high pressure output.  Then reassemble.  No big deal.  Suggest you take a piece of steel and drill holes to mount the pump and then put the other end into a vice to hold it while you work.

Thanks for the advise, I found a place in Texas that will rebuild the complete unit very reasonably and after my summer insurance coverage goes off the car is back in my shop for winter projects while the Oregon snow is coming down. I have decided to send it to them for a professional rebuild.
