First off let me say good looking stang.

I know thier is a way for doing this and im not sure how I would like to know myself.

Have you got the numbers of the motor?  You will have to find that first.  I have a family member I think that can find this info out for chevys, I will see how the do it and see if I can find out for fords.

Someone else on here may know just how to do it.

Yes, you have a very nice fastback. As Godfather says, you need to find the engine numbers and use a decoder like the one on this page:
Engine decoder

To find out about the original engine and options your door's dataplate informations can be decoded here:
Mustang decoder

I hope this helps and welcome to the forum

Thanks, for writing, what I need is some input on how to verify the motor itself sitting in the car as I have already decoded the vin#, etc.

Thanks
