I can't get the fender off my 65 mustang
« on: January 28, 2010, 02:36:44 PM »
Its free in the front and the top and bottom bolts are out in the back. It seems to be hanging up in the middle back by the door. any help? I was told there might be a bolt from the inside kick panel to the fender...
Thanks

If you open the door i think there is bolt going into the fender through a bracket mounted on the side of the car.

As I have maintained for everyone with a 64 thru 73 Mustang, get a set of the Mustang Assembly Manuals. That being said: remove the quarter panels (you may also consider removing the sill plates); there is a 5/16-18 nut with a large washer accessed thru a hole in the sheet metal - use a 1/2 inch deep wall socket with a 3 inch extension to remove.
