I Been Busy -
« on: December 22, 2010, 05:54:30 PM »
I removed my exhaust manifolds, bead blasted them and then painted them with Eastwood cast iron paint. There were a few other things to do, new solenoid to battery cable, polish some chrome, a bit of spray cleaner, wipe the dust away, the normal house cleaning chores. I do not drive this car in the rain by choice.

In the last two hours a friend walked in and I bought an original, still in the box, 1965-66 Rotunda RH delux outside mirror (don't ask $), turned down an original, still in the box, 1965-67 Ford wood grain steering wheel horn ring and an original 1965-66 Rally Pac; stripped (choke shield, vacuum line fittings and dash pot) two Mustang (1 ea 65, 1 ea 66) 4100 Autolite carburetors that will wind up on e-bay next week, and made dinner. The wine flowed free.
When I took the pictures of the engine compartment, I took a couple of the interior. The base of the RH reproduction mirror was in one shot and it looked "ugly". The replacement came to me. Wheeling and dealing can be fun.

Lookin' good Jim.   Too damn much chrome for my choice though.   I do like the looks of the manifolds though.  Clean

Shiny chrome is the price you pay for (almost) pure stock.

Nice ride Jim! For my money Silver Blue is a great color for 66 fastbacks. IMHO - I would never drive that car in the rain because it would literally take an entire weekend or longer to clean it back to that point.

I'm a chrome man myself, for under the hood, and add on more every chance I get. Price is a big factor but . . . . .  8)

Very very nice Jim. I hope to get mine as clean lookin sometime. I use mine every day. Try not to in the rain but can't help myself. Love driving it. So don't suppose it will ever look that good. Kameran
