I'm from the Philippines. drives a restored 1965 mustang GT convertible. just want to ask if I can buy a new 289 V8 engine in the states? are they recondition? or brand new?

pls. post some links where I can get one thanks.

First off, welcome.
The answer to your question is no, there are no new 289CID engines available, only rebuilt ones, and that's a qualified answer. You can get a 289CID engine rebuilt here for about $2000 (maybe up to $2500) but off the shelf, ready to go, 289CID engine don't exist. There are 302CID "crate" engines available from many suppliers however. The differences are not major.

Welcome to the site. And yes there are no crate 289s but there are crate 302s, 331s, 347s and so on. Depending on what you want they can cost from 2-9,000 dollars. All depends though.
