Ground cable
« on: December 31, 2008, 01:18:08 AM »
I am detailing the engine compartment 67 289 and noticed a broken ground cable. On the passenger side of the firewall the cable is bolted, Where on the block does the other end connect? I need to get a new cable the original one is broken in half.

Thanks,

Jeff

This is not a very good picture, but as you can see, the ground cable attaches to the passenger side head at the back. Should be the same on your 67 289.

Glen,
If that's Ol' Yeller's ground cable, you need a new one.

Yeah, I know Jim.  I don't have a 'roundtoit just yet.

If it's in the 'roundtoit' pile, hold off for a while.

Actually, it is just as good as the cable thing.  But, you are right, I need a new ribbon cable type that is original.
