Flywheel question
« on: September 28, 2009, 12:47:53 AM »
I have 94 5.0 that I'm installing in my 64.5 stang. The car originally came with an auto but I want to shift it myself so I have a 66 fairlane top loader, no's HEH-BV 4 speed to go in it. The 5.0 had a 5 speed behind it but I don't have it so 4 speed will work just fine. The question is which flywheel to use? I have the fairlane flywheel which is approximately 14 inches in dia. and the original 94 mustang which is approximately 13 in. in dia. All the transmission pieces, bell housing, clutch, plate, flywheel ect are from the fairlane, but will using it on the 5.0 cause any problems with vibration ext.?  Also, shouldn't I use  the fairlane starter for the trans? Any help here would be appreciated.......
