factory timing setting on 1966 289 2v

Hey guys I need some info. I have completely original 66 coupe  my friends dad bought new I have upgraded to msd ignition instead of points and car drives ok but has no low end I'm afraid I have thrown timing off on engine need a good starting point please help

Factory timing spec was 6 deg BTDC at idle (this is with the vacuum advance disabled, if you have that unit).  You can advance this incrementally to see whether it helps.
