Electric Fuel Pump - 1966 GT

A friend recommended I replace the original fuel pump with a new electric version.
Has anyone done this ?
What were the results ?

I did mount electric fuel pump is paradise. starting very good for hot cold slowed the engine at full load The Fastback A code 67.

Thge recomended location for an electric fuel pump is near the gas tank. I used one on my VW powdered sand rail with a pair of Weber 40DCNF carbs and is ran flawlessly. This was an offroad toy and not a street machine. The distance from the tank (an aluminum beer keg) to the engine was about two feet. I also had a pressure regulator set to about 3psi. The use of one on a Mustang is not necessary unless you are racing however. The stock (original) mechanical one on my 66 "K" has worked without any problems and that engine sucks gas.

yes to agree with you weber requires a pressure regulator. for Autolite
4100 unnecessary

If it were mine, I wouldn't bother, but it sounds as if you have already taken the leap.  How does that electric pump sound to you?   ;D
