Climatic to Electronic Choke Conversion
« on: May 29, 2009, 12:50:26 PM »
I have a Climatic Choke on my '68 302 2v Autolite and saw that they sell a electronic choke for this carb.  Has anyone done this change and what is the benefit?  I did notice the electronic cost 6 X as much.

All you have to add is the black cap with the electronic hookup, then find a switched 12V supply.  I have one I will send you for free.  In addition to the manifold heat, it opens the choke butterfly faster.  That's all.  I wouldn't bother, especially if you are from the cold country.
