AOD Transmission Install into 1969 Mustang
« on: January 14, 2009, 01:03:01 AM »
After attempting to update my mustang with an AOD trans., after mating the engine to the new trans., I discovered the starter could not be installed, because the opening was blocked by standard intermediate sheet metal.  This metal is some sort of gasket about 8/32 in thickness and seperates the trans. from the engine.  Does anyone know where I can get one that will fit a 69' 302 engine and a late model AOD trans?

From what I have been told you will need the engine/tranny seperator plate from around 1990 Mustang as well as the AOD from the same year.  I am looking for the same thing except the aod is going to hook up to a HP 289 1965 Falcon.
