Another wheels question?

(1/2) > >>

giacomo:
So I a currently have styled steel wheels bfg radial t/a 195/70/14 on my 66 coupe. I want to change the look of the car a bit and give it a sportier looking appearance. I thought of torq thrust 15's, but my car has a very stock look, and I think that keeping styled steel wheels will help keep that look. So can a put 15's x 7 all around? I am looking for a wider look, that will be noticebly bigger than my 14x5's. I am not looking to roll fenders or do any other mods. What size tire combination can I use ? Thanks, mike

Boss351Dude:
Took the 15x7 Cragars with BFG 235 60 15 from my 71 and tried them on my 66 coupe. The fronts rubbed when the wheel was turned. Maybe a 215 would work.

giacomo:
Thanks 351 dude, so a 215/65 for the front would be a smaller size? Also, styled 15x7 have 4.25 back spacing. American torq thrust 15x7 have 3.75? What is the difference? I'm getting these numbers from the cjponyparts web site. Thanks

giacomo:
A picture of the car is on eBay under 14" mustang styled steel wheels and tires
